Mr. Stevenson has an extensive background in the merger, acquisition,
valuation and sale of U.S. businesses. Under his leadership and
direction, Stevenson & Company specializes in the sale of
closely-held corporations and corporate divisions, the management
of corporate acquisition programs, and the valuation of mid-size
companies.
Previously, George was president of another merger and
acquisition company; headed his own manufacturing business; was
Director of Corporate Development for National Tea company, where
he was responsible for divesting several operating units; and
was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, where
he worked on merger and acquisition strategy plans for major
corporations. He has successfully completed acquisitions and
valuations in the manufacturing, metal working, material handling,
food, office products, information and electronics industries.
George has an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business
School and a B.S. in Engineering from Iowa State University.
George is a past President of the Chicago Chapter of the Association
for Corporate Growth (ACG), a former member of the Board of the
Center for Religion and Psychotherapy of Chicago and the Board
of Directors of Tarkio College and was a founder and past President
of the Alliance of Business Brokers and Intermediaries. He is
currently a member of the Chicago Harvard Business School Club,
the Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries Association,
and the Association for Corporate Growth.
