Logistics – Third Party Logistics Company
Stevenson & Company recently completed the sale of a third party logistics company, to NFI, one of the country’s most diverse supply chain solutions companies.
Our client provides warehousing, transportation, freight cross docking, pick and pack, light assembly, custom packaging and order fulfillment services. It provides logistic management services for several Fortune 100 companies and has infrastructure dedicated to transborder shipments between Canada and the United States. The company has five locations with warehouse space approaching one million square feet.
Stevenson took the company to market in late 2009. Stevenson researched the market, identified over 300 strategic and financial buyers in its worldwide search for the right culture and fit. We ultimately developed multiple offers for our client.
NFI Chief Executive Officer Sidney Brown said “This acquisition expands NFI’s network of third party logistics and warehouse services, and further enhances our cross border capacity and capabilities. In turn, NFI provides their customer base with access to a vast network of integrated logistics services and supply chain solutions”.
NFI’s annual revenue grew to over $900 million in 2010. The completion of ten acquisitions in just ten years has position NFI as a nationwide third-party logistics services provider with 5,600 employees, over 19 million square feet of warehouse space, over 2,000 tractors and more than 7,200 trailers.
